The upcoming Global Meeting will be the main event of the United Nations' "International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development 2022." The meeting will be held for the first time in North America.

The Meeting

The three-day Global Meeting, to be held at the Aspen Meadows Resort, will establish the Mountain Partnership agenda and high-level advocacy goals for the next four years. US policy makers and outdoor industry sponsors are invited to join the Mountain Partnership, participate in the meeting and develop action items in concert with key officials from North America and around the world.

The Forum

The meeting will culminate with a forum hosted by the Aspen Institute, which will feature a public keynote address and panel discussions with key experts. The Aspen Institute is known for its groundbreaking programs, including the Aspen Ideas Festival, Aspen Security Forum, the Aspen Cyber Summit and the Global Inclusive Growth Summit among many others. The forum will be presented under the auspices of the Aspen Institute’s Hurst Lecture Series.

Basic exhibit space is available for sponsors and members to promote their sustainability projects and products.

Telluride Excursion

Mountain Partnership members may register for a two day excursion to Telluride, Colorado to participate in the Mountain Partnership Global Meeting - Telluride. Hosted by the Telluride Institute, this event, held immediately after the Aspen meeting, will introduce up to 50 delegates to the Telluride Institute's global sustainability initiatives and Colorado's Ute indigenous culture.
